    EXAMPLES OF SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENTS

    • MATERIALS

      I - ADHESIVES & SEALANTS

      • Developed a new all purpose high performance glue stick adhesives for bonding; wood, metals, plastics and polyolefins.

      • Modified company's Neoprene base, N Methyl Pyrrolidone (NMP) base adhesives. New product providing higher performance with 20% cost reduction.

      • Patented an adhesive formula that increased company sales by 40%, U.S. Patent application (serial # 09/939,956). (Patent revenue $100,000,000).
        a) Troubleshooting on the production line showed that the problem with the product can be solved by changing the processing conditions and the materials.

        b) Developed the right processing condition upon which a big improve in the production quality was recognized.

        c) A new compound was developed and patented which after it processed with the new operating conditions, gave outstanding results.

        d) The new patent has saved the division from a potential of losing the business.
      • Another adhesive patent (phase II) was submitted to the Patent Attorney which will extend superior surface quality to the product and reduce its cost by 20%.

      • I have developed a new hot melt adhesive for the roofing industry. Bonding EPDM rubber sheet having mica calendared into the surface to polyester no woven fabric. The New adhesive shows very strong bond with very high peel strength. Potential sales for the new adhesive are ten million dollars per year.

      • Provided higher performance patentable glass sealant product. A new generation of sealant that will function from -40F to +160F. Expect this new sealant to be a top seller from Arizona to Alaska (Revenue $35 Million).

      • Developed a patentable one part water base adhesive to bond Foams for furniture applications. Production trials shows outstanding results for the new product far exceed in performance their competitive in the market (Revenue $5.0 Million).

      • Developed a patentable polyurethane (PU), one part water base adhesive for automotive application, with 78% cost reduction, by modifying a company-patented product. Production trial was very successful and showed a big potential in the market.

      II - POLYURETHANE FOAM (RIM)

      • Formulate new polyol for polyurethane foam using reaction injection mold (RIM). The new formula shows better performance than an existing formula from BASF and another formula from Bayer with 30% materials cost reduction. For a broad range of applications.

      • Modifying BASF formula, where my new formula shows much better performance and lower the scrap level to the zero level.

      • Trouble shooting on production line to find the right operating condition, which reduced the PU foam production scrap level from voids, cream line etc. The scrap level went from 25% to (zero level) 0.0%.

    III- THERMOPLASTIC/THERMOSET

    • Developed a new fire retardant jacket compound formula for the riser cable that open a new market and supported company profitability. With a potential sales volume of $15 million (Division Annual Sales Volume is $100 Million). A certificate was issued for FR by Intertek Testing Services (ITS) for this product.

    • Worked on compounding, modifying and testing of Thermosetting Polymers, polyester thermoplastic elastomers, NBR, EPDM and others. Scaled up from lab to pilot to production. Troubleshooting improved the mechanical and rheological properties of the blends.

    • Troubleshooting on the production line developed the optimal operating conditions and procedure to reach a good vulcanized blend using sulfur and peroxide cure system for NBR and EPDM. With different formulas with and without fillers.

    • Troubleshooting on the production line for PU foam using injection molding machine. Developed the optimal operating conditions and procedure to reduce the scrap level to 0.0%.

    1. QUALITY CONTROL

      • Developed Advanced Quality Procedures. Developed procedures that caused marginal improvement in Quality accuracy with minimum standard of deviation according to ASTM.

      • Prepared confidential documentation on experimental capability with ability to discern change and reduced the scrap by a signifying level.

      • Improved product quality by introducing a well designed extruding processing system

    2. MARKETING

      • Prepared technical marketing presentations and communicated constantly with suppliers and customers.

      • International Marketing Exposure through Ford Motor of Germany and Puzalux of Switzerland.

      • Marketed new products, and solved production problems at customers' sites. Traveled 25% to 50% of the time.
