Examples of Achievement in the Adhesives & Sealant Field

• Developing an all purpose high performance glue stick adhesives with long and short open time; application: wood, metal, packaging, plastics, polyolefin. The new glue sticks replaced a 3M product with 12.5% cost reduction. (Revenue 3.5 million dollars).
  
  
• Modified company’s patent PSA hot melt adhesive formula. The new modified formula’s outstanding performance open two new production lines (Revenue 7 million dollars).
  
  
• Developed a patentable hot melt formula for the 50 and 75 ohm coaxial cable. The new formula increased the sales by 40%. The new formula had saved the division from bankruptcy. (Patent revenue 100 million dollars).
  
  
• Developed new hot melt adhesive formula for the roofing industry. Bonding EPDM rubber to woven fabric. The developed formula shows very strong bond with high peel strength exceed the inspection peel strength (Revenue expectation exceeded 10 million dollars).

• Modified company’s Neoprene base adhesive formula. The new formula provided high performance with 20% raw materials cost reduction.
  
  
• Troubleshooting on a PU production line to define the right processing condition. The new processing condition fixes the product problem and reduced the scrap level to the zero level.
  
  
• Modified a company’s one part PU water base adhesive formula for automotive application. The new formula was 78% cheaper than the company’s original formula. Production trials were very successful and showed a potential for a big market.
